Effective August 13, 2026 · Last updated August 13, 2026

1. Who we are

Island Patch Pros provides drywall repair and related estimating services in British Columbia. In this policy, “Island Patch Pros,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the business operating under the Island Patch Pros name.

2. Our privacy commitment

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act where it applies. We collect, use, and disclose personal information only for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances.

3. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • your name, email address, telephone number, and preferred contact method;
  • service and property address information;
  • repair descriptions, measurements, availability, and requested services;
  • photos or files you upload, which may incidentally show your home, belongings, people, or identifying details;
  • quote, scheduling, job, invoice, payment-status, and customer-service records;
  • website technical information such as browser type, device type, IP address, referring page, and basic usage data collected by our hosting or form providers; and
  • other information you voluntarily provide.

Please avoid including people, confidential documents, access codes, financial information, or unrelated personal belongings in repair photos.

4. Why we use information

We use personal information to respond to inquiries; review damage photos; prepare and confirm estimates or quotes; schedule, deliver, document, and improve services; communicate about a request or job; manage payments and records; prevent fraud or misuse; satisfy legal, tax, insurance, and safety obligations; and resolve complaints or disputes.

We will obtain additional consent before using personal information for a materially different purpose unless the law permits otherwise.

5. Consent

By submitting information or photos, you consent to their collection, use, and disclosure for the purposes explained at or before collection and in this policy. You may withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawal may prevent us from providing an estimate or service.

6. Jobber and other service providers

Our request form is provided by Jobber. Information submitted through that form is transmitted to and processed by Jobber for customer relationship management, requests, quotes, scheduling, communications, and related business functions. We may also use website hosting, communications, payment, accounting, analytics, insurance, professional-adviser, and secure storage providers.

Service providers receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their functions and may process or store information outside British Columbia or Canada, where it may be subject to local law. We remain responsible for selecting providers and using contractual or other safeguards appropriate to the circumstances.

7. When we disclose information

We may disclose information to service providers working for us; to workers, subcontractors, insurers, or advisers where needed for a job or claim; with your direction or consent; to collect amounts owing; in connection with a business reorganization; or where required or permitted by law. We do not sell personal information.

8. Retention and safeguards

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above and for legal, accounting, insurance, warranty, security, or dispute-resolution requirements. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure.

9. Access and correction

You may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to or correction of that information. We may need to verify your identity. Applicable law may permit or require us to withhold certain information, and we will explain a refusal where required.

10. Privacy questions or complaints

Our Privacy Officer is responsible for this policy. Contact the Privacy Officer at hello@islandpatchpros.ca, Island Patch Pros, Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada.
