Estimate & Service Terms

How ballpark estimates, written quotes, scheduling, and repair work are handled.

Effective August 13, 2026 · Last updated August 13, 2026

1. Ballpark estimate versus written quote

The online calculator is informational only. A binding service agreement is formed only when you accept our written quote or other written service agreement and any required conditions are satisfied. The accepted document controls if it conflicts with this page.

2. Scope and pricing

Pricing is based on the visible conditions and information available when we prepare the quote. The quote will identify the included work, known exclusions, taxes, payment terms, and any expiry date. Additional patches, concealed damage, inaccessible areas, texture or paint differences, substrate failure, moisture, mould, asbestos or other hazardous materials, electrical or plumbing conditions, structural issues, customer changes, or inaccurate information may require a revised quote or change authorization.

3. Photos and site review

Remote photos help us estimate efficiently but do not replace an on-site assessment. We may revise or withdraw a quote before work starts if actual conditions materially differ from the information provided. We will seek approval before performing material additional work unless immediate action is reasonably necessary to prevent injury or property damage and the law permits it.

4. Customer responsibilities

The customer must have authority to approve work at the property; provide safe, timely access; identify known hazards, leaks, mould, asbestos, lead, wiring, plumbing, or structural concerns; secure pets and valuables; clear the immediate work area unless otherwise agreed; provide utilities reasonably required for the work; and disclose site or building rules, parking limits, and access restrictions.

5. Paint and finish matching

Existing paint, texture, lighting, age, fading, previous repairs, and surface conditions can affect appearance. Unless a written quote expressly promises otherwise, exact colour, sheen, texture, or invisibility is not guaranteed. Customer-supplied paint must be suitable, usable, and sufficient. Where we purchase paint, the written quote will state what is included.

6. Scheduling and delays

Dates and arrival windows are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing. Drying and curing times, weather, material availability, building access, concealed conditions, emergencies, and events outside reasonable control may require rescheduling or additional visits. We will communicate material changes as reasonably practicable.

7. Changes, cancellation, and statutory rights

Changes or cancellations should be requested as soon as possible. Any project-specific cancellation charge, deposit term, or rescheduling term must appear in the accepted written quote or agreement. No provision on this website limits cancellation, disclosure, refund, or other rights that apply under British Columbia law, including rights that may apply to a future performance or direct sales contract.

8. Payment

Amounts, taxes, deposits, progress payments, due dates, and accepted payment methods will be stated in the written quote or invoice. Overdue amounts may be pursued only as allowed by the agreement and applicable law. Customers should not send payment-card details through the general request form or email.

9. Workmanship concerns

Please notify us promptly of a concern and provide a reasonable opportunity to inspect it. Any workmanship warranty must be stated in the accepted written quote or separate written warranty. Manufacturer warranties, if any, remain subject to their own terms. These provisions do not limit non-waivable legal rights.

10. Pre-existing and consequential damage

We are not responsible for pre-existing defects or for concealed conditions we did not cause. To the fullest extent permitted by law, responsibility for a proven claim is limited to the direct loss caused by the party at fault. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
